Apsara Training Institute for Skill Development and Management was started as a Self Employed unit under Kudumbashree during the year 2008. It was later developed as a Skil Developement Training Institute in 2009. For the last 11 years,we have been imparting Quality training to Rural/Urban men and women. We have also given job placements to many of them. Most of the Skill Development training programmes were conducted in association with Govt Departments like Local Self Govts(LSGD), SGSY, District Industries Centres. District Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes Departments, State Forest Department, District Social Justice Department,State Kudumbashree Mission, State Bamboo Mission, Youth Welfare Board and PSUs like Kerala Artisans Development Corporation (KADCO), Kerala State Small Industries Development Corporation (SIDCO) Kerala State Folklore Accademy etc… Vocational training programmes were also conducted in Schools, Polytechniques , Arts and Science Colleges, Vocational Higher Secondary Schools etc. We have our own Craft Emporia/Marketing outlets at Pulappatta and Kanniyampuram, Ottapalam to market the products of SHGs and JLGs promoted by us. Our Development strategy is to empower the vulnerable/less privileged sections of the societyby upgrading their skills through training and capacity building
